The Nicholasville Police Department is investigating an attempted burglary that occurred Friday morning.
According to the NPD, a woman claimed a man attempted to force his way into her home on McPeak Place around 8:30 a.m.
"She said the guy had some official papers for her, and when she started to open the door he tried to force it open," Officer Scott Harvey said. "She was able to slam the door in his face, and he ran off."
The man is described as white and tall, and he was wearing a red baseball cap and jeans at the time of the incident.
