Census jobs available

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting workers in this area to help with the 2010 Census.

Bethany Evans said 70 workers are needed by April in Boyle County alone and that workers are needed in all Kentucky counties.

Starting pay is $13.75 an hour, and workers are paid weekly. Hours are flexible, making it an attractive job for college students, recent high school graduates, retirees and people seeking a second job.

Hours can range from part-time to full-time, and authorized mileage and expenses are reimbursed.

To qualify, applicants must score at least 70 on a 28-question test. Paid training will start in February.

The jobs include Census taker, crew leader, crew leader assistant and recruiting assistant.

Call toll-free 1-866-861-2010 to schedule an appointment to take the test and apply.
