Ruth Hornsby: Nov. 22, 2008

Ruth Elaine Folger Hornsby, 69 , widow of William Kelly Hornsby , of Lexington, died Sat. Nov. 22. She was a retired LPN having graduated from Appalachian School of Nursing, she worked at Central Baptist and St. Joseph Hospitals and Mayfair Manor. A native of Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene M. and Ola Doolin Folger. She was a member of Crosswoods Baptist Church. Surviving are her twin children, William Dale Hornsby, Casselberry, Florida, and Teresa Gale and husband George W. Wilson, Nicholasville, a sister, Gladys D. Hill, Melbourne, Fla., two grandchildren, William Kyle and Kari Elaine Hornsby and two God-children, Brooke and Brian Shewmaker, Louisville. Graveside service were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Raymond Bishop. Serving as casket bearers are William Kyle Hornsby, George W. Wilson, Aaron Hornsby, Rick Griffieth, Mike Griffieth, Rickey Griffieth, Richard Satterly and Alan Robinette.
