WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

- Jonathan G. Simpson, 33, of 234 Vaught Road, was served with a warrant Monday for fourth-degree assault and sexual misconduct.

- Leslie McKinney, 31, of 6 Riverview Marina, was served with a summons Monday for fourth-degree assault.

- Jackie M. Lawson, 37, of 545 E. Washington St., Apt. 289, was charged Monday with having only one headlight and driving on a suspended operator's license.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

- Laura Jackson, 24, of 321 S. Maple St., Apt. 3, was served with a warrant on Monday.

- Bradley Downs, 21, of 113 Heather Lane, was charged Monday with second-degree burglary.

- At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Georgette E. James of 107 Yorktown Court reported that someone entered her home and took several old prescription bottles. Nothing else was reported missing.

- At 1 p.m. Monday, Bruce Scott of 5409 Muddy Creek Road reported that someone entered his home and took a 27-inch flat screen TV.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

- On Monday, emergency personnel conducted three local transfers and seven out-of-town transfers. They also responded to three general medical calls, one stroke and one respiratory case.

- At 2:01 a.m. today, firefighters were called to 20 1/2 Buckner St. for an oven fire. Firefighters found potatoes burning in the oven and disconnected the oven. The fire was contained to the oven. The residence was occupied by Diana Miller and owned by Nelson Willoughby.
