Is your child without insurance coverage?

The Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) is free or low cost health insurance for children. KCHIP is for children under the age of 19 who do not have health insurance and are income eligible. For example, a family of four can earn up to $42,400 a year.

Your child's health is important to you and to us, but you may be facing various barriers, like cost or lack of benefits through your employer, that prevent the purchase of health insurance. Whatever the reason might be, your family may qualify for coverage through KCHIP.

Children need health insurance. We encourage you to contact your child's Family Resource or Youth Service Center in their school for more information. We have applications on file and will be happy to schedule an appointment to work with you to fill them out. We will also fax the application for faster processing.
