Lorene Jones Baker, 84, of Copper Creek, died Thursday, Jan. 8.
A native of Keavy, she was born April 26, 1924, to the late Ed and Luana Short Jones. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church, a former nursing assistant at Sowders Nursing Home and the widow of John Baker.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Baker; three sisters, Mollie Eldridge, Della Barnes and Opal Brock; and two brothers, Robert and Nelson Jones.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry (Bobby) Turner; two sons, Gary Wayne Baker and Johnny Ray (Nerissa) Baker; one sister, Celia Davidson of Amelia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
