Police and fire reports for Jan. 22

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

- Mickey K. Alcorn, 55, of Lexington, was charged Wednesday with failure to appear in court in Fayette County.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

- Johnny Smallwood, 38, of Clay City, was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking.

- Candra N. Day, 28, of Lexington, was served with a warrant Wednesday.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

- On Tuesday and Wednesday, emergency personnel conducted two local transfers and three out-of-town transfers. They also responded to three respiratory cases, four general medical calls, five engine assists, four seizures, five falls, one mutual aid with Clark County Fire Department, one motor vehicle accident, two cardiac cases, one stroke and two overdoses.

- At 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to 2 First St. for a possible structure fire. Firefighters found a small fire near ground level with a smell of gasoline in the area. Firefighters extinguished the fire and ventilated the house. No one was home, but witnesses saw someone running from the scene. The house is owned by Linda Fryman.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

- At 7:56 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on Skylark Drive.

- At 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called to 642 Laura Drive for a report of smoke coming from a heat pump.

- At 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on Trapp-Goff's Corner Road.

- At 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a possible structure fire at 1977 Combs Ferry Road. The residents extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived.
