Man and juvenile arrested after arson at Danville's Duncan Hill

Thursday, a late night fire on Duncan Hill destroyed a condemned house.

At 9:13 p.m. Danville Police and Fire Departments responded to 1038 Duncan Hill to respond to a house fire.

Danville Fire Chief Mike Thomas. said the building had been condemned.

The structure was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived. Units from the Boyle County Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Wiitnesses saw two young males had been seen running from the fire scene. An undetermined amount of time later, officers stopped and detained two males near the area.

Kenneth Norman, 21, of Danville, was arrested and a 15-year-old juvenile was taken into custody.

Norman was charged with first-degree arson, alcohol intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and is currently lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center awaiting pre-trial.

The juvenile was charged with first-degree arson (complicity).

Officers Chris Matano, Sally Bustle and Detective A.J. Mullins were the investigating officers.
