Perryville battlefield included in Civil War events list

After more than 10 years serving Civil War visitors on the East Coast, CivilWarTraveler.com

has expanded to cover more than 1,000 Civil War battlefields and sites across the country including, Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site.

"We are now offering one-stop shopping to anyone wanting to visit an American Civil War site anywhere," says Don Pierce, publisher. "It's the first time all this material has been brought together in one place."

One of the most popular features of the new Web site is free battlefield tour podcasts, narrated by Civil War historians. These audio tours now are available for the Gettysburg, Antietam, Richmond and Petersburg battlefields, with more planned.

CivilWarTraveler.com also lists every site and driving tour in the Civil War Trails program in Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, North Carolina and West Virginia.
