Stanford PD gets new officer

February 12, 2009

Jason Fawley, 27, of Somerset is Stanford's newest police officer. He's spent the last few weeks on the streets of Stanford with the department's field training officers learning the ropes. "I've been riding with Officer Rob Wilson, and he's taught me a lot," said Fawley. He has also spent time with Sgt. T. J. Hill and Detective Barry Allen. "I'm very impressed with the level of professionalism in the department," he said.

Fawley said he is thankful that Chief Middleton gave him a chance to join the department and he's happy to be in Stanford. "It's a very pretty town and the police have a great relationship with the people who live here,' he said.

Fawley is scheduled to attend the Police Academy at EKU in April.
