Speed was the factor in a single-car injury accident on Chrisman Mill Road Friday morning.
At around 10:45 a.m., the driver of a powder blue Mitsubishi Eclipse lost control heading southbound around a curve when she hit a rock wall and flipped her vehicle.
The driver, a 17-year-old female, crawled out from the vehicle before emergency crews arrived on scene, and was treated for a cut on her hand. She was transported to the hospital to be examined for head and neck injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, according to Jessamine County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Purcell.
A portion of Chrisman Mill Road was shut down for about an hour while workers cleaned up the wreckage.
