Dean's list

University of Kentucky: Students from Casey County include William Howard Clements, a freshman from Liberty, studying music performance in the College of Fine Arts; Mindy Diane Goodlett, a senior from Liberty, studying accounting in the Gatton College of Business and Economics; Patrick James Helm, a senior from Lexington, studying telecommunications in the College of Communication and Information Studies; Amber Dawn Meeks, a senior from Dunnville, studying family and consumer sciences in the College of Agriculture; Brian Michael Stucker, a senior from Middleburg, studying computer science in the College of Engineering; and McKinzee Ann Weddle, a junior from Liberty, studying finance in the Gatton College of Business and Economics.

Western Kentucky University: Brittany L. Terrell of Danville has achieved the designation of Dean's Scholar for the 2008 fall semester. Terrell earned the honor for having a grade point average ranging from 3.4 to 3.79. She is a senior majoring in nutrition and is a member of the American Dietetic Association. She is a graduate of Boyle County High School and the daughter of Lisa Terrell of Danville and Danny Terrell of Danville.

Western Kentucky University: A Danville student is a member of the Western Kentucky University Forensic Team which won its 19th consecutive Kentucky Forensic Association state championship Feb. 21-22 in Owensboro. Katie Nedvidek, a junior from Danville, was named state champion in persuasive speaking, third in communication analysis, fourth in after-dinner speaking and fifth in informative speaking. WKU team members earned 12 state individual titles during the event and placed first in overall team sweepstakes, followed by Murray State University.
