Police and fire reports for March 6

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

- Antonio Rodriguez, 32, of Man O' War Apt. 6, was charged Thursday with driving on a suspended operator's license.

- Damion Cass, 22, of 127 E. Broadway Apt. 1, was charged Thursday with second-degree burglary and possession of marijuana.

Reports

- At 10:31 p.m. Wednesday, officers stopped a vehicle on Stevenson Heights after failing to signal for a turn. Officers determined that the driver, Maynard E. Watkins Jr., has a suspended operator's license. During a search, officers found 13 Xanax pills in Watkins' pants pocket. He said he did not have a prescription. He was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

- Melvonna L. Carpenter, 22, of London, was served Thursday with a warrant.

- Virgil Herald, 37, of Lexington, was charged Thursday with first-degree burglary.

- Vernon Gill, 49, of Lexington, was charged Thursday with first-degree burglary.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

- On Thursday, emergency personnel conducted four local transfers and three out-of-town transfers. They also responded to three general medical calls, five falls, one seizure, three cardiac cases, one stroke, one motor vehicle accident, one fire response and one engine assist.

- At 3:11 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to 1515 Bypass Road for an alarm. There was not a fire.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

- At 1:41 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to a structure fire at 1347 White-Conkwright Road. The house was listed as belonging to Eugene Hampton. The house was fully involved when firefighters arrived and sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. A cause has not been determined.
