Oather Jackson "O. J." Robbins, 69, of Crab Orchard, died Saturday, March 7 at the Fort Logan Hospital.

A native of the Sand Springs Community in Rockcastle County, he was born Setp. 16, 1939, to the late Charlie Boone and Minnie Viola Bullock Robbins. He was a farmer and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Paul and Kenneth Robbins; and two sisters, Betty Sue Robbins and Josephine Oaks.

Survivors include his wife, Della Sue Flanery Robbins of Crab Orchard; one daughter, Kathy Lee (Carl) Smith of Louisville; two brothers, Billy Robbins of LaPort, Ind., and Jesse Robbins of Lewisburg, Ohio; and six sisters, Minnie Mae Petrey of Lexington, Roberta Brown of Brodhead, Francis Petrey of Crab Orchard, Irene Hodge and Virginia Lail both of Clyde, N. C., and Helen Chesser of Lewisburg, Ohio.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at the McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Meece officiating. Burial will be in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Gary and Lonnie Smith, Jesse Robbins, Jr., Mike Elam, David Mileck, Ray Petrey, Jr., and Bobby Turpin. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Charles Bullock, James and Jimmy Hiatt, Robert Collett and his friends from the Coffee Club.
