Schwartz-Dexter

Anthony and Elaine Schwartz of Selkirk, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Jillian Schwartz, to Stephen Abell Dexter, son of Mark and Julie Dexter of Danville.

Schwartz is a 2003 graduate of Albany Academy for Girls, a 2007 graduate of Centre College, and teaches math and works with extended student services at Woodlawn Elementary School. She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.

Dexter is a 2000 graduate of Danville High School, a 2004 graduate of Centre College, and a graduate of University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta. He is an attorney with Sheehan, Barnett, Dean and Pennington PSC.

A wedding is planned to be held in May at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville.

Humphrey-Douglas

Dale and Nancy Humphrey of Stanford announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesa Ann Humphrey, to Travis Scott Douglas, son of Buddy and Linda Douglas of Junction City, and the late Cathy Whitis Douglas.

Humphrey is employed by Eye Associates of Danville.

Douglas is employed by Pliant Corp. in Danville.

The wedding is planned for April at Stanford Baptist Church. Invitations will be sent.

Curtis-Scott

Archie and Joella Curtis and Brenda Hardin, all of Danville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Beth Curtis, to Max Scott, son of Dr. and Mrs. Larry Scott of Danville.

Curtis is a cosmetologist.

Max is a special education teacher at Danville High School.

A wedding is planned for May 30 at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Scott. Invitations will be sent.
