LANCASTER - A head-on collision left three unidentified people injured Wednesday afternoon in Garrard County.
Kentucky State Police said a car driven by Michael H. Cotton of Danville, who did not sustain serious injuries, was headed east on Ky. 52 when it appeared to have veered across the center line and hit a truck head-on that was traveling west.
The truck flipped, coming to a stop on its roof, while Cotton's car slid off the road into an embankment.
KSP Trooper Chris Damron said authorities had not identified the driver and two passengers of the truck.
The truck's driver was airlifted from the scene to University of Kentucky Hospital, where he remained was in stable condition. The two passengers were taken to the emergency room at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical center where they were treated and released.
Damron said that the investigation into the crash would continue, but no charges are currently pending.
