Circuit Court for March 20

The following case was resolved in Clark Circuit Court March 16 with Judge Jean Chenault Logue presiding.

- Garret W. Callahan, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, dismissed; first-degree wanton endangerment, dismissed; disorderly conduct, dismissed; resisting arrest, dismissed; trial for remaining charges continued to March 23.

The following cases were resolved in Clark Circuit Court March 12 with Judge William Clouse presiding.

- Angelia Sue Abbott, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts), amended to possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended one year each, sentencing April 16.

- Arthur Lee Creth Jr., first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended five years; trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school, amended to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 12 months; possession of drug paraphernalia (second or greater offense), pleaded guilty, recommended two years; second-degree persistent felony offender, dismissed.

- David Coleman Marcum, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, amended to first offense, pleaded guilty, recommended one year; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, amended to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended one year, sentencing April 16.

- Charles William Parker II, flagrant non-support, pleaded guilty, recommended seven years; first-degree persistent felony offender, amended to second-degree, pleaded guilty, sentencing April 2.

- Jamie Peyton Preston, cultivating marijuana more than five plants, pleaded guilty, recommended one year; possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed; trafficking in marijuana more than eight ounces but less than five pounds, pleaded guilty, recommended one year concurrent, sentencing April 2.

- Jessie Thornberry, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended five years; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended five years concurrent; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, amended to first-degree possession of a controlled substance, pleaded guilty, recommended one year consecutive; second-degree persistent felony offender, dismissed; sentencing April 16.

- James Beschorner, possession of a destructive device, sentenced to one year.

- James Franklin Duke, flagrant non-support, sentenced to one year probation.

- James Garrett Rose, flagrant non-support, sentenced to one year and restitution.
