College news for March 29

Campbellsville University: Three area students will be among 60 students and staff members from Campbellsville University spending spring break, March 16-20, participating in mission trips in various locations across the United States, as well as in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Tori Baker, team leader, of Junction City, will spend the beak in Mexico; and David Havener of Harrodsburg and Kyle Hester of Stanford will go to New Orleans.

These groups are sponsored by CU's Baptist Campus Ministry. The mission trip to Costa Rica also is commissioned by Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Two additional groups, not sponsored by BCM, also will be participate in mission trips.

Campbellsville University sponsors numerous mission trips throughout the year during holiday breaks, spring and fall breaks, and during the summer.

University of the Cumberlands: Kellie Hatter, a senior, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hatter of Danville, was among 10 new members initiated Feb. 27 into the Kentucky Beta Chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, University of the Cumberlands' chapter of the national mathematics honor society at its annual banquet at Cumberland Inn.
