CAMPBELLSVILLE - Buzz Cason, a newly-appointed Campbellsville University trustee who is a well-known Nashville author, songwriter, publisher and creative writer's group director, will autograph his book, "Living the Rock 'n Roll Dream: The Adventures of Buzz Cason," from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbellsville University Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore.
The bookstore is located in the Davenport Student Commons at 410 N. Hoskins Ave. in the East Bruce Heilman Student Complex.
He will present a program about his life and experience in the music industry later at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall, located in the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive.
Both events are free and open to the public.
With the distinction of being the only known songwriter to have songs recorded by The Beatles, U2, Pearl Jam, Gloria Estefan and Jimmy Buffett, Cason has enjoyed long-lasting success. His song "Everlasting Love," co-written with Mac Gayden, has received more than million radio airplays "Soldier Of Love," the title cut of the Derailers '06 CD, was also recorded by the Beatles, Pearl Jam and Marshall Crenshaw. It was originally written with Tony Moon for Arthur Alexander.
