Children, with help from their parents, rush to fill their baskets with plastic eggs filled with candy during the Easter EGG-Stravaganza Saturday at Winchester Plaza. A large crowd attended the event sponsored by First United Methodist Church. Eighteen-month-old Marcus Bryant Wells had an up-close-and-personal visit with a baby duck held by his mother, Billie Jo Bryant, Saturday morning at the Winchester Plaza. The petting zoo was part of the Easter EGG-Stravaganza sponsored by the church.

Xavier Vanderpool, 2, put his Easter basket to work as a hat while waiting patiently for the Easter egg hunt to begin Saturday at the Winchester Plaza.

Two-year-old Caleb Jaeger, top left, is a happy camper riding on a horse at the free petting zoo, which was part of the Easter EGG-Stravaganza. Helping Caleb ride tall in the saddle is his mother, Nancy Jaeger.
