On Wednesday afternoon, April 8, Deputy Bill Schnitzler responded to an accident on US 27 South. Ronnie McQueary, 45, of Liberty, struck the rear of a Chevy Trailblazer operated by Tiffany Kirkpatrick, 29, of Stanford. Neither McQueary nor Kirkpatrick were injured, but McQueary was arrested for operating on a suspended driver's license, no insurance and failure to transfer a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Detention Center.

At 8:50 p.m. Friday, Deputy Chad Smith responded to an accident on KY 39 North. Gary Bourne, 37, of Crab Orchard had attempted to pass a buggy on the roadway as the buggy turned left into a private driveway. Bourne's vehicle struck the buggy injuring the horse. The buggy driver, Mervin Byler, 36, of Crab Orchard, was uninjured nor were any of his eight passengers.

Deputies responded to another vehicle accident later Friday evening around 10:50. Deputy Ryan Kirkpatrick determined that a Jeep, operated by William Wills, 62, of Somerset, pulled out from the White Barn parking lot on US 27 South in Waynesburg into the path of a car driven by Desiree White, 18, of Danville. Wills fled the scene but was arrested a short time later in Pulaski County and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating beverages and leaving the scene of an accident. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center. White was uninjured.

Saturday evening around 8:00, deputies and the East End Ambulance Service responded to the Cedar Creek Lake boat dock on US 150 to render assistance to two fisherman who had sunk their truck, trailer and boat. Deputies determined that William O. Shepherd, 62, of Science Hill had accidentally backed his Mercury Mountaineer into the lake while his son, William J. Shepherd, 26, of Science Hill was attempting to load the boat onto a trailer. When deputies arrived, the younger Shepherd had extricated his father from the vehicle uninjured. Divers from Lincoln County's Dive Team were called out and helped remove the SUV and boat from the lake.
