Dear Editor,
The best thing that Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center has ever done was the valet parking. When I had to go to the hospital for anything - such as my heart would get out of rhythm - my wife would have to let me out and then go find a parking place.
I have been to the hospital many, many times for different reasons. The last six months or so I have been at least 12 times to the pain clinic, emergency room and tests. The valet parking is the best thing that the hospital has ever done for its patients. The only thing they did to ruin it was to move it to the other end of the hospital.
The emergency room, admitting area and all tests are done on the emergency end. The hospital should help its people and patients. Valet parking should be moved back to the emergency entrance - not do away with it.
