Dear Editor,
There are some people, mostly left-wingers, who will never be able to give President Bush credit under any circumstance, not even if he found a cure for ignorance.
My first inclination was to ignore Roger Bowman's most recent letter. However, after several sleepless nights, I have to respond.
Mr. Bowman wants Republicans to shut up about the Obama administration. The party of the disloyal opposition spent eight years lambasting President Bush and failed to give him credit for anything - not even for keeping us safe for 71/2 years after 9/11. From Mr. Bowman to former Presidents Clinton and Carter, they did everything possible to discredit President Bush and their own country. They were aided and abetted by most of the press, led by the New York Times. Now, Mr. Bowman wants Republicans to shut up. No way.
One more thing: Just what constitutional right did Mr. Bowman have on the last day of the Clinton administration that he did not have on the last day of the Bush administration? Isn't freedom of speech a constitutional right that you wish to take away from us?
