Sammie B. Carter, born April 1, 1931 on the family farm in Arlington, Texas, went to join her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Homer, of Nicholasville, in Heaven on May 29.
She was a loving mother to daughters Carolyn and Ann and husband Jeff Brennan and grandmother to David and Stephen Brennan. She is also survived by her brothers James T. and wife Betty Bradley and Dennis H. and wife Mary Bradley as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of Jessamine County Beef Cattle Association. Family will receive friends Saturday, June 6, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Graveside Service will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
