AARP Chapter 632 met May 28 at the Generations Center.
Paul Blackwell presided, opening the meeting with the "Pledge of Allegiance." The group sang "Happy Birthday" to Evelyn Hudson and Mae Belle Martin. Wilma Ballard gave the invocation before the potluck meal.
Jim Crowell discussed plans for the June 6 yard sale at the home of Jean Vaughn, 316 Forest Ave. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sale items may be left on Vaughn's carport Thursday, Friday or early Saturday.
Members were given stickers and asked to price their own contributions. All leftover items will be donated to Community Services or Goodwill. Yard sale signs were given out. Don Rose will bring an AARP banner to the sale to help recruit new members.
