Mildred Cox Phelps, 89

Mildred Cox Phelps, 89, of Hustonville, died Thursday, May 28 at Golden Living Center in Stanford.

A native of Detroit, Mich., she was born May 6, 1920, to the late Grover and Hester Edwards Cox. She had retired from the Lincoln County Extension Office, was a teller at the McKinney branch of the Lincoln County National Bank, a member of the McKinney Baptist Church and widow of James Lee Phelps, Sr.

Survivors include two sons James Phelps, Jr., of Hustonville, Michael Lee (Lisa) Phelps of Garrard County; a daughter Linda K. (Robert) Roskins of Chapman, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Graveside services were June 1 in the McKinney Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Hershal Fletcher, Hilary and Keith Oberhelman, Lindsay and Dustin Hildebrand and Seth Roskins.
