Roger Keith Baker Sr. 78

Roger Keith Baker Sr. 78, of Hustonville, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Sunday, May 31 at the Rockcastle Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

A native of Crab Orchard, he was born Feb. 13, 1931, to the late Earl Cecil Baker, Sr. and Jennie Rogers Baker. He was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service having worked for 27 years at the Crab Orchard and Brodhead offices, a veteran of the Air Force, member of the Crab Orchard Masonic Lodge #636 and Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a former member of the Kentucky Walking Horse Association.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Jean Baker; a brother, Earl "E.C." Baker; sisters, Elizabeth Baker, Bake Young, Martha Dyehouse, Jamie Newland, Ann Mullins and Sue Hale.

Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Baker Folger of Lancaster, Nina Jo Ryles of Lexington and Stacy Jan Keeling of Hustonville; a son, Roger Keith (Regina) Baker, Jr. of Huntsville, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashley Gray, Weston Keith Folger, Jason Tanner Ryles, Lindsay Bo Ryles, Jennie Michelle Baker, Jessica Lynn Baker, Sarah Kayleen Rogers, Britney Nicole Keeling; and three great grandchildren, Leah Hailey Grace, Marley Jo and Max Tanner Ryles

Active pallbearers were Tanner Ryles, Weston Folger, Martin Sherrow, Lonnie Pruitt, Rodney Elam, Jimmy Gover and Kyle McKnight. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Elmore, Pat Peck, Theo Nantz and the members of the Masonic Lodge #636 of Crab Orchard.

Masonic services were conducted on June 2.

Funeral services were June 3 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. David Fralix officiating. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery

Military honors were conducted by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion Stanford.
