The continuation of Danville's semi-state baseball series against Lexington Catholic has been rained out for a second straight day.
The second game of the best-of-three series at Henry Clay that was scheduled for Thursday night was postponed until 7:30 p.m. Friday. Game 3, if necessary, would be at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Lexington Catholic (25-8-3) leads Danville (27-12) in the series after winning the first game 10-0 in five innings on Monday. The Admirals would have to win back-to-back games to advance to the state quarterfinals.
Game 2 was originally scheduled for Wednesday night, then rescheduled for Thursday night, but rain prompted Henry Clay officials to call it off each day.
