Letter: Concerned about health care

June 28, 2009

Dear Editor,

We are writing to express our deep concern about the health care crisis that exists in America. We believe that the health care delivery system is broken in terms of cost and positive efficiency. Many other developed nations have health care systems that are far lower in costs, both economic and social, and have better measurable outcomes for the health and well-being of their citizens.

We believe that the issue of health care for all is a moral issue that America is failing to address. We believe that support of the health insurers and pharmaceutical companies over the well-being of all the citizens of our country is unacceptable.

We support a public health care coverage option that insures real leverage over out of control prices. We must bring an immediate stop to the profiteering that terrorizes America's people and threatens the existence of America itself.

We reject any so-called "trigger" that will delay immediate redress from the shocking and inhumane inequality and injustice of our health care system as it exists today. We reject the immoral practices that cause many, many millions to be uninsured and millions more underinsured!

Please call Congressman Chandler (202) 225-4706. Ask for his help at supporting a public option for adequate and affordable health care for all.
