Farmwald earns diploma

Nicholas A. Farmwald, son of Mel and Cindy Farmwald of 2880 Shakertown Road, Danville, recently graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in technology.

On campus, Farmwald was active in the Industrial Technology Club, Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the men's soccer team.

Farmwald is a graduate of Boyle County High School.

Bodner recognized for leadership

Daniel Bodner recently was presented the John D. Wright Jr. Award for Sophomore Man of the Year for outstanding leadership consistent with Transylvania University's tradition of excellence.

Bodner is the son of Danny and Pat Bodner of Danville.

Stapleton graduates with honors

Samantha Stapleton of Eubank graduated with cum laude honors from Lincoln Memorial University on May 2, 2009, with a Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary science, an Associate of Applied Science degree in veterinary technology and a minor in chemistry.

Stapleton is the daughter of Brian and Cathy Stapleton of Eubank, and is a 2005 graduate of Lincoln County High School.

Stapleton's activities at LMU included serving as a Lincoln Ambassador, president of Kappa Pi Omega, president of the Veterinary Tech Club, vice-president of the Inner Greek Council and vice-president of the Pre-Vet Club. She was on the Dean's List every semester and a participant of the UT College of Veterinary Medicine externship.

Stapleton will apply to veterinary school in the fall.
