Dowdy-Ralston
Mr. and Mrs. David Dowdy of Lexington announce the engagement of their daughter Megan Dowdy to Eric Ralston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Ralston of Stanford.
Megan is a 2000 graduate from The School for the Creative and Performing Arts at Lafayette High School in Lexington, and a 2004 graduate of Centre College with a bachelor's degree in anthropology and sociology. At Centre, she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. In May 2009, she received her master's degree and teaching certification in education with an emphasis in learning and behavior disorders from Asbury College. She is employed at Lincoln County Middle School as a special education teacher.
Eric is a 1998 graduate of Lincoln County High School and a 2003 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed with PBK Bank in Stanford as senior vice president and director of lending. He also works for the Lincoln County School District as head basketball coach for the Lincoln County Middle School eighth grade boys team. Eric serves on the Lincoln County 4-H Council and as president of the Stanford Rotary Club.
