Greater St. James CME fish fry is Saturday

Greater St. James C.M.E. Church at 410 W. Washington St. will have a fish fry and bake sale Saturday at 11 a.m. Fish sandwiches will be $4, or $5.50 for fish, cole slaw and baked beans. Pies will be $8.

County fair entries accepted Monday

Clark County 4-H and Home Economics will be accepting County Fair entries from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3.

Planning commission to meet on Tuesday

The Winchester-Clark County Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the Clark County Courthouse.

There will be public hearings on Corey Properties' zone change request for a mini-warehouse storage facility on Winn Avenue, and a preliminary plat for six residential lots on the Mary E. Perdue estate on White-Conkwright Road.

Also, board will discuss the the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Aug. 11.

Correction

In the police reports Saturday, the Sun incorrectly reported that Richard Tartar, 55, of 256 April Way, was served a Fayette County warrant for theft by unlawful taking and failure to appear. The charge on the warrant was acutally theft by deception.
