Letter: Some congressmen are overstepping bounds

August 12, 2009

Dear Editor,

I see were the liberal media and Democratic Party members are saying that people who show up at town hall meetings and speak out against Congress' idea of health care reform are Republican plants. This is not true at all. Look at the polls that are being shown on the liberal media. The people simply do not support the plans.

The polls are showing that only 32 percent of the American people support the plans. The people who show up are doing what we are supposed to do. We are supposed to tell our congressmen what we want. We elect them and they are supposed to do what we tell them to do.

Do you think a health care plan that they are exempt from sounds good? Why are they not going to be using it if it is so good for us?

What we have now is a group of congressmen who do what the party tells them to do. The people be damned. The plain and simple fact is that if they are stepping over the bounds of what the Constitution gave them the power to do, it is time to vote them out. If they voted for bailouts, health care reform, and any other things that the Constitution does not plainly give them the power or right to deal with, then get them out.

If our great grandparents could see what our nation and we as people have become, they would be greatly ashamed of each and every liberal person.

If you look at California, you can simply see what liberals have done to that state. The governor there is a Republican by title only.
