George Woodson Ellis, 92, of Hustonville, died Thursday, Aug. 6.
A native of Casey County, he was born April 26, 1917, to the late Marshall and Arby Coppage Ellis. He was a farmer, a Baptist, treasurer for the Soil Conservation Board for over 60 years, a member of Rocky Ford Masonic Lodge and the widower of Louise Murphy Ellis.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Ellis (John) Smothers); a son, Joe (Gloria Sue) Ellis; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Aug. 10 at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial was in Hustonville Cemetery.
