WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Adrian Aldridge, 23, of Winchester was charged Friday with third-degree burglary.

— Wendall Trent, 42, of Clay City, was charged Monday with improper passing, possession of marijuana, public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reports

— At 7:44 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Beverly White Towers to investigate a report of a black man stealing something from a Schwan's truck. When officers located the man, he denied taking anything and allowed officers to search him. When they did, they found a napkin containing nine pills the suspect identified as Xanax. Poison Control identified the pills as allopurinol, which is a "legend" drug (a drug or chemical substance whose possession and use are regulated under the Controlled Substances Act). Theodore A. Scott was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a legend drug.

— At 6:27 p.m. Monday, officers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 64 for improper passing and speeding. When searching the vehicle, officers found a cigarette pack that contained cigarettes and a marijuana roach, and

a bag of marijuana in the headliner. Wendall Trent of Clay City was arrested on multiple offenses.

— At 4:50 p.m. Monday, Mandy D. Roach of Mount Sterling reported that someone broke into her vehicle on Ashley Drive and took clothes, several CDs and a bottle of cologne.

— At 1:05 p.m. Monday, Sharon K. Hedger of 205 Sterling St. reported that someone entered her unlocked car and took a CD player.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— On Monday, emergency personnel conducted one local transfer and four out-of-town transfers. The also responded to one general medical call, two cardiac cases, one respiratory case, one vehicle fire, one fall and two injury accidents.

CLARK COUNTY FIRE

— At 2:24 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding at 107 Pintail Lane. Nothing was found.

— At 4:52 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a possible injury accident on Interstate 64 at the 90 mile marker.

— At 7:35 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a natural gas leak on Colby Hills Road.

— At 11:55 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to 212 Locust Grove Road, where a carbon monoxide detector was sounding. The detector malfunctioned.
