Clark school board to meet Tuesday

The Clark County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the board office. Items on the agenda include an update on the high school project and a report on a district energy audit. A special meeting will follow for disciplinary hearings at 8:30 p.m. That meeting will be in closed session.

City commission to meet Tuesday

The Winchester Board of Commissioners will have called meeting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the commissioner chambers of City Hall to conduct routine business.

The commission's regular meeting will follow at 5:30 p.m. to discussion utility rate proposals, 2009 property taxes and a traffic study.

Commissioners are also scheduled to vote on a sign ordinance and an ordinance related to occupational fees. Both meetings are open to the public.

Clarification

Brenda A. Parker of 2876 Colby Road said she is not the Brenda Parker whose name was in the court records recently for receiving stolen property. There was no address listed in that case, but there was a court record for a Brenda Parker at 125 Highland St. That case was dismissed.

Bag-of-Books Sale to benefit library

The Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave., will have a Bag-of-Books Sale from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Friday to benefit the library's Summer Reading Program.
