Russell Coleman and Barbara Sue (Tipton) Turley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 16, 2009.
They were married on Aug. 15, 1959 at the Durbin Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington. The Rev. Raymond Aubrey officiated.
The couple has two children, Barry (Cindy) and Karen Turley, and two grandchildren, Erin and Justin Turley.
Their children honored Russell and Barbara with a surprise party at the Clark County Fish and Game Club in Winchester. Sixty family and friends shared in this momentous and joyous occasion.
