Towne and Country Homemakers meet after private White Hall tour

The Towne and Country Homemakers' September meeting was at White Hall in Richmond on Sept. 12 at 11:30 a.m.

As a group, they met at Kentucky Bank and carpooled to the McDonald's in Richmond at the Boonesborough exit, where they ate lunch.

Then they attended the 1 p.m. tour at White Hall. They had a private tour led by Randy.

The group listened as Randy gave the history of each room of the house. Everyone asked questions regarding where some of the furniture came from, what was original to the house and what was donated.

Those in attendance at the September meeting where Betty Bonar, Megan DeCapio, who was accompanied by her daughter, Connie Harms, Mary Lou Shearer, who was accompanied by her grandson, Sue Staton and Deanna Wright.

Betty Bonar called the meeting to order after the tour in the picnic area at White Hall. She passed out all of the 2009-2010 packet information, which included a calendar, save the date, and a VSU Log.

As this was a very short meeting, no inspiration and no treasurer's report were given. The meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Deanna Wright's home at 6:30 p.m.
