Elkanah W. "Kenny" Rogers, 89, died Monday, Sept. 14 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late N.W. and Mary Francis Rogers. He was a World War II Army veteran earning the rank of Master Sergeant and he and his wife, the late Irma Krause Rogers, made the American Saddlebred horse their work owning/training horses.
Survivors include a sister, Mollie Henderson of Danville; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Sept. 16 at Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial was in Richmond Cemetery.
