Geneva A. Gooch
1922-2009
STANFORD — Geneva V. Adington Gooch, 87, of Kings Mountain, died Thursday at her home. Born April 9, 1922, in Waynesburg to the late Campbell and Geneva Victoria Mullins Adington, she was the widow of Louie Gooch.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Ray Gooch Sr. (Barbara) of Stanford, Dean Edward "Buck" Gooch (Peggy) of Danville and Sandra Kay Powers (Richard) of Kings Mountain; a brother, Ernest Adington of Hustonville; three grandchildren, Troy Gingrass "Gooch", Regina Rae Gooch and Kenneth Ray Gooch Jr.; two step-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vida Janet Gooch; and a granddaughter, Tonya Kendrick.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial in Pleasant Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
