The West Jessamine boys' soccer team also took part in the Colonel Classic in Bourbon County over the weekend.

The Colts (6-4-0) fell to host Bourbon County (9-6-0) 2-1 Saturday.

Jonathan Kellogg got the Colt's lone goal off an assist by Matt Hulsing.

West jumped back on the winning track, though, by defeating Franklin County (7-5-1) soundly, 5-0.

The Colts were scheduled to follow the weekend trip with a home game against Lafayette (2-6-3) Tuesday. Just seven minutes into the game, though, lightning struck and suspended the game until it was finally called. The game with the Generals has been rescheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m.

First the Colts will have to contend with Lexington Christian (2-7-3) at home tonight at 7:30.
