The Nicholasville Police Department is asking the public's help in solving a burglary which took place around 2:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 13, at 536 Applegrove Drive, near Lake Mingo.

According to Officer Kevin Grimes, two males, one with brown hair and the other with blond, both wearing dark-colored clothing, were spotted by a neighbor carrying a big screen television toward Lake Mingo.

When confronted, the men dropped the TV and kicked it causing unrepairable damage, then fled through Lake Mingo Park toward Lake Street.

"The guys were seen carrying the TV, and when they were confronted, they smashed it and ran," Grimes said. "That's all they have is just a basic description and that time of morning. We're thinking somebody probably knows something."
