To the editor,
My name is Abby Sears Moldt. I am 27 years old, and a resident of Fayette County. I am writing to share a recent experience that I had, involving Jessamine County Detective, John Bourne. On Friday, July 31, 2009, during rush hour, I had a flat tire on Man 'O War, between Richmond Road and Alumni Drive. I was very nervous, as I had my 21-month-old son with me, and traffic was flying by us. I immediately called AAA, and requested roadside assistance. When they inquired as to whether or not I was in a safe location, I responded "No" and eagerly accepted their offer to have a Lexington police officer come to the scene, to make my car more easily noticeable, and thus less likely to get hit by oncoming traffic. As I waited, I became more and more worried, as the volume of traffic was steadily increasing.
