Richard G. Herles: Oct. 3, 2009

Richard G. Herles, 55, husband of Emily Gibson Herles, of Beechwood Drive, died Oct. 3, 2009, at his home surrounded by family after a long illness and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Richard F. and Rita Ann Bernhard Herles. Additional survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Ann Herles Johnson and her husband Joe "Tex" Johnson and Sarah Elizabeth Herles, his best buddy and grandson, Elijah Joe Johnson, a sister Pattiann Adams, and a brother, James Herles, and their families who survive in New York. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
