Fish fry to help tornado victims



CLEMENTSVILLE — St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville is holding a fish fry starting at 5 p.m. Friday to help the families affected the Oct. 9 tornado in Casey County. Take outs are available. Stanford woman wins pageant



A Stanford woman has earned the right to compete in the Miss Kentucky America 2010 pageant in July.

Ashton Gooch was named Miss Elizabethtown out of 13 contestants in a preliminary to go on to compete for Miss Kentucky.

She competed in talent, bathing suit, interview, on-stage question and evening gown.

Gooch will compete for the title of Miss Kentucky Fair Queen on Jan. 10.

She is the daughter of Sherry and Shane Young of Lancaster and Doug and Tracy Gooch of Stanford. She is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky in pre-med with a double major in biology and nutrition.

Danville-Boyle County Airport Board — will not meet Thursday. The meeting will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Stuart Powell Ford dealership on the Danville Bypass.
