Charles Raymond "Charles Ray" Cecil, 74, of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the FCHR in Winchester.
He was born June 30, 1935, in Woodford County to the late Charles McClain and Eva Lee Creekbaum Cecil. He was a member and assistant at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, United States Air Force veteran, former employee for Clark County Community Services and former Fayette County police officer for many years.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Allan and wife Jane Cecil of Kannapolis, NC, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and husband Gary Burrows of Lexington, Deborah and husband Marty Hoover of Nicholasville, brother Ronnie and wife Betty Cecil of Lexington, sister Evelyn and husband Lillard Wright of Nicholasville, and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Melanie Mudge at Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 1065 Dove Run Road Lexington, Ky 40502. In charge of all arrangements is Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home 289 S. Main St.
