The Blue-Grass Express Clogging Team recently closed out 1984 competition with a strong showing in state competition. The team won age division titles in both the open and precision categories. In the overall dance-off, its open entry finished second out of 13 entries and its precision entry won the four-couple division and was named the overall grand champion precision team.

Sherry Craft, 17, is enrolled as a junior at the Kentucky School for the Deaf, Danville. Miss Craft, a student at the school since age 6, is proficient in sign language and lip reading. Miss Craft is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Craft, 87 Quick Shop Trailer Park.

A $3.35 million project to reconstruct the Irvine Road apparently is not dead after all. Mary Mulloy, press secretary for Transportation Cabinet Secretary Floyd Poore told the Sun that Poore has "dedicated $200,000 in state funds" for design of "complete reconstruction of Highway 89." The state might resurface the road for about one-sixth the cost of the original plan.
