The Winchester Music Club, which is affiliated with the National and Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs, met on Oct. 27 at the home of Mrs. Robert Pace. Dr. Bill Cooper, president, presided at the meeting and led in the reading of the Collect. The group sang "Hard Times Come Again No More" by Stephen Collins Foster.

Carolyn Tuttle and Cecil and Betsy Garrett attended the KFMC Board meeting in Bardstown on Oct. 17. The Erlene Johnson Poetry Competition was in the afternoon. Two prizes were given, one for original poetry and one for interpretation of poetry. Cecil Garrett won the interpretation category reading "So Did I."

Billie Pace was program sponsor for this meeting, which was entitled "Memories." Back in the 1950s and '60s, there were four junior music clubs in Winchester. The four clubs were called Bartok, Brahams, Beethoven and Bach. Four members will play music from each of these composers.
