Dear Editor,
I had the pleasure of working in the Danville schools for 24 years and have now been retired for 11. In all my work and retirement years, I had never before received a letter from the superintendent's office at tax time until this year.
Superintendent Carmen Coleman's letter to community members begins: "Like you, my family and I will soon be paying our property taxes." The well-written letter affirmed for me that my tax dollars are indeed a good investment on behalf of our children and our community. With the slogan "Anchored in Excellence," defining the district, I believe the best is yet to be for the Danville schools. Thank you, Dr. Coleman.
