Burgin 60, Cloverport 39 — At Harned, Trenton Claunch went 4-for-7 from 3-point range and scored a game-high 29 points for the Bulldogs (3-0) in a win over Cloverport in the 11th District Tip-Off Classic at Breckenridge County.
Logan Hill had 14 points, six rebounds and four steals, Tim Riddle had nine points, six rebounds and four assists and Jon Beckerson had six rebounds and three steals.
Burgin led 25-19 at the half, but opened up a 43-30 lead after three quarters and pulled away even more in the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs were 24 of 52 from the floor and 8-for-18 at the free throw line with 12 assist and 17 turnovers.

Girls
Mercer County 60, Wayne County 41 — At Monticello, Savannah Taylor scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds in her first varsity start to lead the Titans over host Wayne County.
Abra Sickles had 14 points and seven rebounds, Cawood Dedman had five assists and six points and Leah Flora had five steals to go with her six points for the Titans.
Mercer led 25-23 at the half, but outscored Wayne 35-18 over the final two quarters to pull away.
"It was a good win for us. We're still not shooting the ball very well (9-for-26), but I was very proud of our defense," Mercer coach Chris Souder said. "We got good productions from Savannah."
Mercer turned the ball over 19 times and had nine assists.
Burgin 50, J. Frank White Academy 37 — At Harrogate, Tenn., Shavon Majors scored 29 points and Hannah Harley had 10 as the Bulldogs (2-1) got past host J. Frank White Academy (4-1).
Burgin trailed 12-6 after the first quarter, but took a 25-21 lead at the half, and a 41-35 lead after three quarters.
Boys
Burgin 64, J. Frank White Academy 44 — At Harrogate, Tenn., Logan Hill had 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead Burgin (2-0) over host J. Frank White Academy (3-2).
Jon Beckerson scored 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting, and had eight rebounds, three assists and three steals, Trenton Claunch scored eight points with four assists and four rebounds and Austin Shewmaker had nine points, two assists and two steals for the Bulldogs.
Burgin led 13-11 after the first quarter, but opened up a 32-17 lead by halftime. The Bulldogs led 49-28 after three quarters.
Burgin was 25 of 63 shooting, going 2-for-5 from 3-point range and 12 of 18 at the foul line with 16 assists, 19 turnovers and six steals.
East Jessamine 84, Casey County 80 — At Nicholasville, Kyle Jeffries scored 22 points with nine rebounds and two steals for the Rebels in a loss at East Jessamine.
Tyler Johnson had 14 points, Brad Jeffries had 17 points and six rebounds, and Jordan Ellison scored 13 points for Casey.
East Jessamine wen 21 of 33 at the free throw line, while Casey was 8-for-10 and had 20 turnovers.
